This aerial landscape photograph of Northern Ireland was taken on a late May evening. At this time of year the sun sets at almost 10pm and I had a long wait through several hours of mixed weather for these amazing conditions. As a photographer I often have people say to me “there is a clear blue sky today, that must be great for photos.” Surprisingly, that couldn’t be further from the truth. It is the days with mixed weather fronts which offer the most beautiful light, perhaps it has something to do with the light passing through moisture in the air.
The aerial landscape photograph below of Dunluce Castle was taken on the same night. I really liked how the Skerries are silhouetted against the bright sky behind.
Both of these landscape photographs of Northern Ireland are available to purchase through my print shop up to A3 size.
